VIRTUAL FAITH OVER FEAR 5K RACE
We are happy to announce our first ever Virtual Run!
Join Trinity Joppa on Saturday, June 13 as we host our FAITH OVER FEAR virtual run to move the love of Jesus Christ into our communities...
Isaiah 41:10 says to us...
"do not fear, for I am with you,
do not be afraid, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my victorious right hand."
As you run this race, you will receive a bag, a shirt, a medal, a magnet, and ministry momentos. Each entry will also be eligible for the drawing of a $1500 tuition award for our Trinity Lutheran Christian School or our Trinity Learning Center.
Details can be found at www.trinityjoppa.org. But don't wait too long. Limited registration ends on May 30th, 2020.
WHAT ARE VIRTUAL OFFICE HOURS? Virtual office hours are a way you can communicate directly with a member of Trinity's staff during this time of isolation and ask us any questions, share any concerns or prayer requests, or just let us know about something that you would like to bring to our attention.
We've set aside two separate time slots each day, Monday through Friday, when a Trinity staff member will be available to speak to you through Zoom. You can connect via video conference on your computer or mobile device, or if that's not for you, you can also just call in with your telephone, just like any other phone call you might make.
Trinity staff members will be available Monday through Friday from 10:30-11:30 am and again from 5:30-6:30 pm. You don't need to call in at the beginning. If your schedule doesn't allow you to join until mid-way through, they'll still be waiting.
Check out this short video that explains how you can join in and connect with us in this new, unique way. Zoom codes for computer and phone sign in information are available on the home page of the website.
UPDATE YOUR INFORMATION, PLEASE!—As the staff are making calls and sending emails, we have noticed some phone numbers and email addresses are not up to date. Please give us your up to date contact information by filling out the connection slip on the website, calling the church (x113) or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org Thank you for taking the time to do this.
FOOD CLOSET - The Trinity food closet is remaining open for our regular hours, Tuesday from 6:00-7:30 p.m., Thursday from, 3:30-5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. We are accepting monetary donations and food donations. We are in need of canned pasta (like Chef Boyardee), instant potatoes, canned peas, and canned mixed vegetables
Donations will be accepted outside the entrance to the school between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Please leave donations right outside of the entrance to the school—no one is allowed inside the building.
Check the Facebook page for any updates or contact Mary Kay at email@example.com for questions about dropping
off food or donating.
We also need food closet volunteers… If you are interested in volunteering please contact Mary Kay at firstname.lastname@example.org so she can connect you with our volunteer coordinator.
“MERE CHRISTIANITY” STUDY
If you missed it, remember you can still view this and our other worship service opportunities by going to our website or directly to our youtube channel.
The online 6-week study of C.S. Lewis's classic book "Mere Christianity" classes is being held from 7:00 - 8:30 pm on Wednesday nights and led by Ken Coughlan.
You have two options to participate:
Zoom: We can send you an invitation to a Zoom meeting where you can speak directly to Ken using your computer's microphone and participate in the class that way.
YouTube: If Zoom isn't for you, the class will also be live streamed to the Trinity Joppa YouTube channel where you can participate via live chat. Ken will be monitoring the live chat during the class and answer any comments or questions raised in the chat.
If you would like to participate via Zoom, send an email as soon as possible to email@example.com. For security reasons (to prevent hackers) this will be set up as a private meeting. In order to get access to the meeting you need to send Ken an email in advance. The YouTube feed will be available publicly.
