Donations should be dropped off at the school entrance. We especially need macaroni and cheese, pet food and baby food. Check out the Facebook page for more details.
We also need food closet volunteers… If you are interested in volunteering please contact Mary Kay at email@example.com so she can connect you with our volunteer coordinator.
Passion Play – As you are aware, the Passion Play will not be held on Palm Sunday and Good Friday this year due to the current restrictions. We have had some inquiries about showing last year’s performances. Unfortunately, due to legal licensing restrictions with regard to the music, we are unable to do so. However, we are excited to be incorporating scenes from the Passion Play in our upcoming worship services.
Easter flowers – As many of you know, each year we have potted Easter flowers available to adorn our sanctuary and recognize a family member or friend. Some of you have already purchased these. We would like to continue this tradition with “virtual flowers.” Go to the website, www.trinityjoppa.org, to purchase your virtual flower for $10 which you can do “In Memory” or “In Honor” of a loved one.
JFIRE online – If you’ve been missing our weekly gatherings, then don’t fear! We have the solution! Join us via Zoom from 6:00-7:00 p.m. We have games, a lesson and time to see each other. To access Zoom, download the app to your device. You do not need an account, but you do need the app (we suggest opting out of data collection when asked through the app). Next, click the button below 6 an Sunday and you will be taken straight to the meeting on Sunday night at 6:00 p.m. Initially you will be muted, so make sure you are checked in with audio. Questions, concerns, trouble getting started? Email Mr. Christian Reed at firstname.lastname@example.org
Christ in Our Home booklets – We have had several calls about the Christ in Our Home booklets which are usually available at the Welcome Center. Good news!! We will be attaching the daily devotionals with our daily email update message starting today.
Corona Virus prayers – We realize many of us have been and will be affected by the current pandemic. Prayer is powerful, so we want to keep praying for those in need, be it people who are ill, who are out of a job, who are struggling with bills or in need of food… We would like you to call Tom and Jan from our HEART ministry for prayers and assistance in finding help. We will be compiling a list of prayers for those in need to be posted for our congregation through our email and website. Please call the HEART ministry line at 410-679-4000 x129 for prayers, support and help. We are here for you and yours.
Women’s Bible Study – This is an ongoing study led by Lori Hinman. You are welcome to join. The study part actually starts at 9:30 am, but Lori put 9:00 down as the time on Zoom so she can have time to work with people who might have trouble connecting the first time.
Topic: Thursday AM Bible Study - book “Trustworthy: Overcoming our Greatest Struggles to Trust God” by Lysa Terkeurst (timely study!)
Would you like to sing and be part of our Hallelujah compilation? – Check out the website for directions on singing Hallelujah which will be compiled with all members who submit their film to be shared at our Easter service. Details are on our website and must be in by the Wednesday before Easter, April 8. We would love to have your participation.
Pastor Jay’s Psalms Bible Study – Join us on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm for a live stream Bible study on Psalms led by Pastor Jay. Access the Bible study through the website just as you do for worship. Follow the directions above. You can still access the study if you missed it by going to Trinity’s Youtube page which you can get to through our site, www.trinityjoppa.org.
Small Groups - We encourage you and your small groups to stay in touch, get together online and keep praying. Right now, we need our small groups more than ever. Check in with each other.
Pastoral care - A member of the Trinity pastoral staff is on call every day. If you need to speak with a member of the pastoral staff, please call the church at 410-679-4000 x113 or for the weekend, call 410-679-4000 x186. Please leave a message for your call to be returned.
Youth and family - Attached is our daily page from our Youth and Family Ministry Director, Christian Reed. Christian provides prayers, devotions and activities to do together as a family. A youth message will be provided during each of our live streamed services.
