April memory verse: “Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34 (NIV)
Update: As the onecall phone call from Pastor Jay explained yesterday evening, we are under a cautious protocol at the school and ELC right now. We sent a little one home with a low-grade fever on Thursday, and subsequently, following CDC guidelines, the ELC has been closed until the protocols have been met. The closure could be for 5 to 14 days. Please keep the little one and her family in prayer and our hope is that she is healthy and just has a fever from teething. But we always err on the side of caution.
The sanctuary is a “safe zone” for now, as we continue to run worship online and other online programming, but if we should find it necessary, we will take appropriate measures to close it, but as of now, the CDC recommendations are in play.
TONIGHT! Join the worship team at 7:00 p.m. this evening for another of our Friday night concerts. It is a great opportunity to worship and praise our Lord.
MOTHER’S DAY/SPRING FLOWER SALE! We will be selling flowers as a church fundraiser. Attached to this message is the order form. For questions, to place an order and/or for more information, please contact Brenda Fischer at 443-520-8515 or by email at email@example.com
HERE'S THE NEXT NEW THING!
Next Wednesday, April 29, we will be starting a free, online 6-week study of C.S. Lewis's classic book "Mere Christianity." The classes will be held from 7:00 - 8:30 pm on six consecutive Wednesday nights and led by Ken Coughlan.
Best yet, you have two options to participate:
Zoom: We can send you an invitation to a Zoom meeting where you can speak directly to Ken using your computer's microphone and participate in the class that way.
YouTube: If Zoom isn't for you, the class will also be live streamed to the Trinity Joppa YouTube channel where you can participate via live chat. Ken will be monitoring the live chat during the class and answer any comments or questions raised in the chat.
If you would like to participate via Zoom, send an email as soon as possible to firstname.lastname@example.org. For security reasons (to prevent hackers) this will be set up as a private meeting. In order to get access to the meeting you need to send Ken an email in advance. The YouTube feed will be available publicly.
The first class session will cover "Book 1," which consists of the first five chapters (don't worry, they're short). You do not need to purchase the book to follow along with the class, but it will enhance your experience if you read the chapters in advance. Below is a link where you can purchase the book in multiple formats from Amazon, including paperback or Kindle editions if you would like to download it quickly. We hope you will join us online! God bless.

Food Closet Update-- Drop Offs
Thank you so much for continuing to provide food for our Trinity Food Closet Ministry. During this lock-down, our drop off protocol had been the front entrance of the school. Due to the CDC protocol and a little one having a fever, we have closed the entire school side facility until further notice. So, effective today, both the school and church are closed. We are walking through the procedures and hope to re-open the Early Learning Center sooner than later. For now, we are working to provide another structured time and place for food drop offs. Please hold on to what you have and we will have an opportunity for you to drop it off soon. Thank you again, and we pray that you are all healthy and doing well.
