HOW ABOUT READING THROUGH
THE BIBLE IN 100 DAYS?

Several Sundays ago, the sermon focused on “Getting a Grasp on God’s Word” and we used our worship as the kick-off of our E100 Bible Reading Program. As a congregation, we are currently reading through the Bible in 100 days. Everyone in worship has been given a Daily Planner Booklet and Bookmark that has the schedule of a reading for each day (If you did not receive these, please pick one up in worship this coming Sunday).

Every week, a staff member is sending an email to our congregation with a brief thought about the readings for the week and a reminder of the reading schedule for those seven days. Our schedule for this week is as follows

1. Set a time aside each day to read and reflect. Whether it is morning, at lunch, or in the evening, getting in a routine will help you stay with this journey through God’s Word.

2. Include someone else. Read with your spouse, teenager, child and friend. Having a partner that can talk about the readings is great. This also will allow for a relationship of support where each of you can help the other stay with the program.

3. If you get behind, don’t stop. If you miss a few days, it is ok to just pick up where we are and continue the journey. You can always go back and read what you missed but don’t use it as an easy excuse to stop. Stay with us.

4. Expect God to speak to you. God will minister to you in your life as you read His word. Expect Him to heal, to help, to forgive, to support, to provide wisdom and to give you a clearer purpose for His plan for you.
