   HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?
    Celebrate Recovery meets EVERY Thursday evening in the former sanctuary. There is no
    pre- registration or sign-ups.
  • Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for fellowship.
  • 7:00-8:00 p.m. - Large Group Session.
    • Everyone meets together for a time of worship then a teaching or testimony.
  • 8:00-9:00 p.m. - Open Share Groups.
    • This is the time to break into recovery specific groups and share and hear from others with similar hurts, hang-ups and habits.
 
WHO NEEDS IT?
Anyone can participate in Celebrate Recovery. Open to all hurts, hang-ups and habits such as but not limited to: Divorce and cancer recovery. Alcohol and Drug addiction, pornography, domestic abuse, anger, co-dependency
 
 
WHAT IS CELEBRATE RECOVERY?
The purpose of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church’s Celebrate Recovery ministry is to fellowship and celebrate God's healing power in our lives through the "8 Recovery Principles." This experience allows us to "be changed." We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God's grace in solving our lives problems. By working and applying these Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others. As we progress through the program we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power - Jesus Christ, the one and only true Higher Power.
 
 
WHO LEADS IT?
Celebrate Recovery is conducted by Christians who have been through 12-step recovery themselves. They understand. Many of them have been dealt tragic blows in their lives. Our choices cause painful and lingering consequences, leading to guilt, remorse, grief, and shame. These individuals can truly understand and lead others in recovery.
 
 
IS IT A SAFE PLACE?
Celebrate Recovery is a place where you can…
  • share, find refuge, belong
  • give and receive caring
  • practice respect
  • be assured of confidentiality
  • take off your mask
  • find an accountability partner
  • locate other recovery meetings
  • grow strong again
  • learn vital life lessons
  • dare to take healthy risks
  • get referral to counselors
  • decide to change your life
  • The issue group is not a place where you can practice selfish control of others, get therapy, keep secrets, look for dating partners, judge others, or find a quick fix
 
SECRETS OF SUCCESSFUL RECOVERY
Perhaps you are wondering why Celebrate Recovery is so successful in hundreds of churches across the land. There are three reasons why this approach is special:
  • Jesus Christ is the “Higher Power”.
  • Issue Groups are led by real people who have been through recovery with Him.
  • The Principles and methods applied are built upon Biblical truths
